Introduction to Dance and Musical" is a dynamic course designed for learners with learning difficulties at Journey Enterprises, Kenton. This course offers a fun and supportive environment to explore the world of dance and musicals, helping learners build confidence, improve mental and physical health, make meaningful connections with their peers and express themselves creatively. Through engaging activities, learners will develop coordination, rhythm, and communication skills while enjoying the joy of performance. Completing this course will prepare learners for advanced training with SPÊÓƵÍøÕ¾, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in a final performance for family and friends.

This course is for women attending WHIST only. Get into drama and boost your self-confidence with this exciting performing arts class. Discover more about Musical Theatre, develop your memory skills, have a go at working as part of a team to create a script and practice your performing skills. Taking place in venue, for women attending WHIST, South Tyneside. This course will boost your confidence as a performer and knowledge of Musical Theatre. Taking place in venue, for women attending WHIST, South Tyneside. This course will boost your confidence in the stage management process as well as your knowledge of Musical Theatre. The course aims to encourage learners to attend art exhibitions and/or musical events with a greater background knowledge in order to enhance appreciation. If actual attendance is not possible, to undertake independent research and hence, enjoy a more active and cultural lifestyle. The class also offers an opportunity for learners to interact socially with like- minded people in intellectual pursuits. It also encourages learners to acquire critical and analytical skills through debate and discussion. The course covers all styles and periods from the Renaissance to the present day. It is multi media to accommodate diverse learning styles and preferences. It is suitable for beginners and connoisseurs alike.

If you enjoy music, then this course is for you! We will be doing some listening and moving to music. You may like to follow some of the rhythms in the music and play or sing along. There will be some old favourites for you to enjoy and maybe even remember the words. We may learn something new, just to give ourselves a bit of a challenge! We may even compose our own songs! But don’t worry, there will be plenty of help to make this easy! No experience is needed to take part in this course. Taking part will lift your spirits and make your heart sing! The Reaching Out Programme classes are open to people living in the community that can have their needs met by the class. This is a class for people with a learning disability.

This is an introductory course to the country of Ukraine through its Arts, Literature, and Music, led by the experienced university lecturer, who used to visit Ukraine. Since the Russian invasion in February 2022, the world has admired the Ukrainian people, wondering what the sources of their valour and resilience are. This course will help you understand Ukraine and its people, put their culture in a historical perspective and provide some background to the current conflict in the region. The course is suitable for people of all abilities.

This course will introduce a fascinating period of English history, during which poetry, prose and the arts produced some of the touchstones of British culture. We will explore a range of poetry including Thomas Wyatt’s, love poetry, Ralegh’s verse, Edmund Spenser’s homage to Elizabeth I, John Donne’s astonishing poems of love and divinity, and Milton’s early poems; playwrights, Shakespeare and Marlowe, and prose writers such as Tyndale and his translations from the Bible, Cranmer’s Book of Common Prayer and extracts from the King James’ Bible. Additional context for the period will be provided from paintings, contemporary documents and letters. All texts will be provided on Canvas.

Not only do they provide vital support for pupils, but they also support the teaching that takes place. This course is ideal if you would like to know more about working as a teaching assistant. The role varies widely with some specialising in certain areas of education such as literacy, numeracy, music, specific learning needs and other disability support, English as a second language or behaviour. Teaching assistants can be found in schools for Early Years right through to secondary schools, and the number of TAs in one school can vary widely depending on necessity and amount of funding provided. This course will give you information about working as a teaching assistant (also known as a classroom assistant, a pupil support assistant, a teacher's aide, or abbreviated as a TA) and how you can provide support to teachers by providing teaching and learning support in whatever way possible.
